In honor of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month, join thousands of people from across the state of Washington as they walk to support The Power of Recovery from alcohol and chemical dependency.
Whether you are in recovery, know someone in recovery, or just support The Power of Recovery in everyones lives, by walking you can:
reduce the stigma surrounding addiction
offer living proof that recovery is real
provide support for others in recovery
help remove barriers to treatment
rally to shape public policy and perception
promote the power of a life in recovery
The event begins at 1:00 p.m. at beautiful Carillon Point on the shore of Lake Washington with an inspiring send-off from notable speakers who support The Power of Recovery. (Event Schedule>>)
After the walk enjoy entertainment, delicious food, information booths, and fun activities for children and adults. This awareness-raising event is FREE. Bring your family and friends!
Net proceeds from The Power of Recovery Walk and Fair 2007 benefit the Alcohol/Drug 24 Hour Help Line (ADHL). ADHL is a confidential telephone service providing assistance and guidance for people with alcohol and other drug-related problems in Washington State.
